Short term accommodation, including respite, is funding for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time. You might have a short stay with other people, or by yourself. It’s often funded when your usual carers aren’t available, or for you to try new things.
Medium term accommodation gives you somewhere to live while you are waiting for a long term housing solution. We only fund it if you’re waiting for your disability related supports and have a confirmed long term housing solution. We usually fund Medium term accommodation for up to 90 days.
Personal Care Supports relate to assistance with daily personal activities including assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life. For example:
We through NDIS Support help enable participants to build capacity to independently travel. Transport supports include personal transport-related aids and equipment, or training to use public transport.
We can also have a support worker to drive you around or accompany you out into the community.
Your support worker may also charge you for additional travel costs, such as road tolls, parking costs, or a ticket for public transport.
We help incorporate assistance with and/or supervising tasks of daily life in a shared living environment, which is either temporary or ongoing, with a focus on developing the skills of each individual to live as autonomously as possible.
This can also includes short-term accommodation and assistance such as respite care.
We help facilitate with access to products and support workers who can enable cooking, cleaning, washing, home maintenance and other tasks.
This includes essential tasks that the participant is not able to undertake such as meal preparation and delivery, house or yard maintenance, cleaning and linen.
At Pure Care Disability Support, we help coordinate with participants, families, carers, the disability sector and other stakeholders through a wide range of activities.
We work hard to ensure that these activities are accessible. So, whether it’s a meeting in person or online, getting information in a variety of formats, or providing written, audio or video feedback, everyone can join in.
We help design support to assist and encourage participants to join in community, social and recreational activities with a group.
The goal is to foster an inclusive and stimulating environment in which participants are free to meet new people, make new friends, participate in activities, and learn new skills, all while socialising and having fun.
Being passionate, generous and understanding sets us apart by being the great NDIS service provider. Nothing but the best will do!
